Tree and transplanting Information
| Tree Spade Service (Up to 48 inch 2000 pound root ball): $100.00 per hour (includes machine plus operator and required spotter) Custom Planting with quantity discounts: 1 tree planted with tree spade - $125 2-4 trees planted with tree spade - $80 each 5-10 trees planted with tree spade - $70 Planting with other than the tree spade requires a cost estimate (hand digging or backhoe may be required for hilly or rocky conditions) Basket with burlap liner costs (included in trees sold B&B): 34 inch basket (up to 3 inch trunk diameter, 500 lb root ball) - $10 40 inch basket (up to 4 inch trunk diameter, 1000 lb root ball) - $15 48 inch basket (up to 5 inch trunk diameter, 2000 lb root ball) - $20 We will gladly place smaller trees in the larger baskets for just the increased charge of the basket. Delivery: The first 10 miles are free, additional mileage costs $1.50 per mile round trip. Special price considerations will be given for full loads. Deluxe planting extras: $40 per tree for mulching and staking Example purchase: 8 foot white spruce in a 40" basket and spade planted with quantity discount = 8 X $12.50 (tree) + $15 (basket) + $70 (planting) = $185 each Warranty: The tree is guaranteed against death for one year provided Green Tree Farm sells and transplants it. It is critical that the tree is thoroughly watered once a week through the growing season ( May - September). Trees uprooted from wind or other physical damage will not be covered. If a properly cared for tree does die, it and the basket will be replaced or refunded by Green Tree Farm. The delivery charge and planting costs are not usually covered. Trees owned by others will not be covered, but will be transplanted in accordance with the American Standard for Nursery Stock (ANSI Z60.1-1996).
